WORD SALAD

A pack of 13 cards are shown. Each card is different and contains 4 random letters of the alphabet. The pack is mixed and cut, and the spectator freely selects one of the cards from the facedown pack. The performer instructs the spectator to MENTALLY construct a word using the letters on his/her chosen card, noting that there are several different word possibilities for any given card. After a moment of concentration, the performer successfully divines the word that the spectator is merely thinking of!
