The legacy of “Unheard Vernon” starts in early 2022 when Linda Cervon, widow of the late great Bruce Cervon, came across some audio tapes hiding the back of a storeroom. These reel-to-reel tapes turned out to be exclusive Dai Vernon lectures from the 1960s that were set to be part of a special audio tape series released in the late 80s by Cervon Enterprises (and eventually repurposed as CDs by L&L publishing).
For reasons unknown, the tapes Linda Cervon found had somehow been lost in transit and never made it onto the “Vernon Audio” release in 1987. Upon working with Dominic Twose to get the material digiatilized, the duo realized they had unearthed a treasure trove of astounding material.
Enjoy more than 75-minutes of The Professor in crystal clear quality. It’s like you’re sitting right there in the room with him as he presents a spectacular lecture at the Magic Castle in the 1960s filled with a variety of rare material that was either exclusive to his live lectures or never published anywhere before.
Effects include:
A simple, yet powerful, two card transposition that takes advantage of a clever gimmick to produce expert sleight of hand results—without all the hard work required
A unique and fun effect in which cards penetrate through a newspaper that epitomizes Vernon’s commitment to crafting efficient methods
A ridiculously fair self-working double prediction effect that was never shared in any of his own releases
And more!
You also receive an audio letter from Vernon to Faucett Ross where he talks about magicians of the past he admired. It’s a joy to hear Vernon speak so passionately about what made magicians like Jarrow, Larry Grey and Judson Cole such masters of their craft.
These precious audio files are a true treat that we are honored to present to you. To help support the learning process, an accompanying PDF with further descriptions of the effects has also been created by Dominic.
“Unheard Vernon” is essential listening for any serious student of magic or Vernon.
