Showdown by Jason Wethington (Instant Download)
review:
Nice impromptu effect that you can perform anywhere. In addition to teaching the workings of the trick, he does an excellent job of explaining how to influence the spectators' minds to make it seem more magical to them.
Borrow the bill and pen and within a minute you are performing a cool impromptu magic trick. Great for walk around, bars, show your friends at school...etc. Easy to learn and quick to master. Just practice the secret move in front of a mirror to get it down perfect. It almost works itself.
Nice video, Jason covers it all.
Impromptu !!! Borrowed Objects !!! Simple enough to be able to focus on your story line. This is sweet little piece of magic. I love anything that can be done in an instant with no setup and nothing to carry. The reactions I have got from this effect have been wonderful. It's quite simple, learn it and it's yours for life. When someone asks to see a trick, it's there and it's unique enough to get solid reactions. This is fun and usable, I love it.
A borrowed bill a borrowed pen, pencil, chopstick or straw, a borrowed anything you can penetrate with the bill … what more do you want in magic without using magic props or gimmicks Jason took an old trick you probably did a long time ago with 2 bills and re-introduced it with one bill penetrating another solid. This is very visual and very deceiving as it all the 'dirty work' happens right in front of the spectators eyes and the finale happens in their hands. The only negative thing I will tell you is that the video was shot with one fixed camera angle (not the best angle) so you may have to watch it over a few times to really see the method but you will get it. Adding a top view would really help. Otherwise, a great impromptu close up or strolling trick to add to your arsenal. For beginners to pros, a nice effect to leave them wondering 'how you did it'.
Nice effect, using borrowed, ordinary items. No gimmicks, no switches, no arts/crafts. Fast, impressive, fun.
This is ideal for walkarounds, or the impromptu "hey, can a borrow a dollar and a pen ". Everything is fully examinable before and after, and it all happens right under the spectator's nose.
Excellent instructional vid provides may more explanation than expected, and Jason even includes his personal email in case you need assistance or have questions.
and so on........
