MENSA Matches by Ron Soucie
Unmatched Entertainment
A deck of cards. A box of matches. A miracle. A shuffled deck of cards and a match box are introduced. The cards are normal and it can be seen that the match box contains matches. The spectator selects a random card and loses it in the deck. Then it gets… weird. The performer places the match box upside down on the deck. When he lifts the cover to reveal the matches, the number of visible matches on the deck corresponds to the value of the chosen card, while the remaining matches seem to have defied gravity! Next, the spectator counts out the matches remaining in the box, and this number indicates the location of the card in the deck. Finally, the match box reveals it’s last secret – the suit of the card!
