Josh Zandman - Impromptu Book Test(IBT)
PDF
Any two books are freely chosen. You never see or handle them until the participant puts one in your hand. This can be done anywhere, anytime, with anyone. In fact, it has been! When IBT was first being developed, one of our friends performed it in a book store for someone. The result was so powerful, being able to pick any two books from anywhere in the store, that the participant was visibly shaken!
There is no pre-work, no set-up, no instant stooges, no gaffed books, you don't have to be a speed reader, she gets to make a totally free choice and after a suitable build up, you instantly reveal the word!
Additional Routines & Suggestions By:
Andrew Gerard, Dr. Bill Cushman, Greg Arce and Richard Osterlind
Also included is a special bonus routine:
"Watch It!" Again completely impromptu! Josh Zandman applies his IBT principles with two borrowed watches. You and a participant each select a time on a watch and write it down. The watches are switched and the process repeated. Your times match. Twice. So strong and yet so easy to perform!
Reviews:
"Josh Zandman's IBT is a clever extension of known principles for the famous David Hoy book test. How wonderful that Hoy's original creation is still going strong after half a century! This latest arrangement would make Hoy smile. I did, and you will too."
- Richard Busch

"Josh Zandman's Impromptu Book Test should be in every mentalist's arsenal. If you like simple, direct and hard hitting mentalism, as I do, then IBT is definitely something you will use and enjoy performing."
- John Smetana
"This is one of those "D'oh, why didn't I think of it " ideas! ... And the point that it's so easy to do only sweetens the satisfaction of performing it."
