There are few modern classics of mentalism. One of them HAS to be Deddy Corbuzier's "Free Will" which has be re-invented, shifted, changed, and altered seemingly endless times. My favorite in recent years has been Colin McLeod's in his wonderful book Divine.
I've tested every version out there, and honestly, almost every version has been picked apart and reverse engineered by a spectator at some point. Sure, they usually only got one part of the method when they did this in front of me, but that's enough for 98% of the population who watches mentalism.
I then started looking at electronic methods, even though I'm not a fan of electronics in mentalism. However, I am willing to explore every option for the clearest, most deceptive effect. I realized I had seen many people use ProMystic's "Color Match" as a force rather than a divination of what color the spectator chose, and this disconnect got me thinking. I got to a point that uses no electronics, no multiple outs, and the spectator can keep the prediction. I've fooled many magicians and mentalists with it, and I've found it even holds up to multiple viewings. Plus, it can be done completely impromptu. I'll start with the full performance script, and let you ponder it before reading the explanation
