Description

More than 10 commercial routines that can be done with one of the most common and organic items in the world—a Bic lighter.

"The Gaff Lighter Project" is brought to you by Adam Wilber and Vulpine Creations. These are practical workers with tons of commercial appeal. Even more importantly, they're a ton of fun to perform.

From a color-changing lighter routine to an animated Bic logo, impossible reveal, and even the perfect way to approach a group for close-up magic, these visual effects will grab the attention of any group. There's something in here for every performer. All of the effects are fairly easy and the few slightly more "difficult" ones are well within the range of any intermediate magician.

Most importantly, each effect has been designed to get the most bang for your buck. They're designed to take up limited pocket space and work in multiple environments. The effects in "Gaff Lighter Project" are bound to become a new favorite part of your strolling or table-hopping close up magic set, or your everyday carry for street magic.

What Comes in the "Gaff Lighter Project"?
Each "Gaff Lighter Project" comes with over two dozen custom vinyl stickers that fit any standard Bic lighters, as well as a set of mini Bic stickers for those with smaller hands. As an added bonus, you'll even get some special stickers that feature a super cool optical illusion you can put on almost anything.

While this project features a variety of routines plucked directly from Adam's professional magic sets, you'll also gain all the skills you need to make your own lighter routines. As part of the easy to follow tutorial, you'll learn how to use the drag and drop templates to start making your own gaff lighters using nothing more than an inkjet printer and some tape.

You'll learn how to create custom effects like a lighter that turns into your QR code business card or even a special effect for those who perform a lot of wedding magic.

What Routines come in the "Gaff Lighter Project"?
The Color Changing Lighter Routine
This is a multi phase routine where a white lighter changes to red lighter and back again, ending with the spectator smudging the artwork on the lighter themselves and then leaving their finger print on it in a crazy cool and visual fashion.

Banksy
A true magician fooler. You show a Banksy painting on one side of a lighter and a red balloon on the other, you then move the heart shaped balloon to the other side of the lighter and immediately hand it out for examination. There is nothing to take away, palm or ditch. Anyone familiar with the "Girl with Balloon", one of Banksy's most famous pieces of art, will truly appreciate this moment of wondered astonishment.

The Ice Breaker
This is the perfect trick break through with a new group of spectators. You show a lighter with a polar bear on both sides as you ask if anyone "knows how much a polar bear weighs?" This is a classic icebreaker line that ends with the punchline "enough to break the ice". As you say this, the lighter is given a quick shake and magically shows a picture of broken ice. You then introduce yourself as the magician and start your close up magic set. While it might seem corny when you read it, you definitely want to give this one a try. Adam absolutely loves using this to literally "break the ice." It always goes over well.

Animated Bic Logo
Anyone who has ever seen or performed the classic No. 2 pencil magic trick understands how magical moving a logo around a common object can be for a lay audience. In this routine your spectators will watch as the Bic logo jumps around the lighter in a super visual manner only to end with you smudging the logo with your finger. The lighter is then immediately handed out for examination.

The Barber Shop Pole
Inspired by a true story, this is Adam's favorite routine from the "Gaff Lighter Project". The spectator watches as the stripes on a lighter go from curved to straight while listening to a fascinating story about why the iconic barber shop poles are designed the way they are.

Hypnotic Lighter
Using the design on your lighter, you tell your spectator that you are going to hypnotize them. They might not believe you at first. But, after staring at the lighter for a moment, they are instructed to pick a card. You then have them look back at the lighter and read the warning label. Hidden in the bar code they were just staring at, is an optical illusion that's been hiding in plain sight and proves they were hypnotized. This one leaves them with an unforgettable memory.

The Google Effect
A lighter with 6 company logos is introduced and the spectator selects one. You then impossibly transform the lighter into a Google search that matches the company they picked. You can immediately repeat this with a second company logo.

The Lighter Safe
You explain that you have a lucky coin that you like to keep safe. You do not want to lose it. To do so, you keep it stored inside your lighter. But, not in the way they might think. In the blink of an eye, your spectators watch as the lucky coin becomes fused with the lighter itself. You can then shake the coin back out and go into your favorite one coin routine. Adam even teaches one on the project.

Crazy Cat Lady
Your spectator thinks of an animal (without realizing you've secretly forced them to choose "cat"). The lighter then transforms into a Google search showing results for "cats." This is definitely one of the more bizarre magic tricks in the set. But, don't let that fool you. With the right audience, this one kills!

Your Card Lighter
A modern take on the classic "Your Card" gag that actually makes it a pretty great piece of fooling magic. Simple in structure, devious in execution. This one will be a favorite among many magicians.

Twisted Queen
You show a lighter with the back design of a playing card on both sides. When the spectator reveals their card you twist the lighter in your hand to show that the back design that was just there has now twisted in half to reveal the selected card on the face. The lighter is immediately handed out for examination.
