A masterclass in misdirection and performance theory bundled into an incredible effect. A signature and a date vanish off the sleeve of a coffee cup and reappear on a coffee sleeve that’s wedged under the table you and your spectator are sitting at! Gregory Wilson has gone on the record as saying this is one of the strongest effects he’s ever created with David Gripenwaldt, and we are sure when you perform it you will agree. This is French Press by Gregory Wilson and David Gripenwaldt.
Here’s what happens:
You notice that the table you are sitting at is wobbly, so you remove the sleeve from your coffee cup and put it under the table to stop the wobble. Next, you borrow the sleeve from their coffee. You sign and date the sleeve. In an instant, the signature and date that were written in permanent marker vanished from the coffee sleeve. The spectator can then remove the sleeve from under the table and discover the signature and date have reappeared on the sleeve that was placed there from the very beginning.
French Press is a nearly impromptu vanish of ink that reappears in a completely impossible location. The method is not only easy to do, it’s diabolical in its structure. In addition to learning the effect, you’ll get a crash course in Gregory Wilson’s signature style of misdirection and audience management. This is must must-watch viewing for any serious student of magic who wants to take their miracles to the next level. Turn your next cup of coffee into an unforgettable event with French Press by Gregory Wilson and David Gripenwaldt.
