Blind'O Mind DeckPerformance:
A spectator freely thinks of a card and you find it.
Of course this effect will make you think of the excellent routine «Out of sight», by Joshua Jay but if you look closer, you will notice differences that will please you.
A deck of cards is given to a spectator and he shuffles.
He will freely thinks (no force) of a card.
In order for the audience to also know the card, you turn around and ask the spectator to deal cards on the table to indicate the value and suit of the card.
Once the audience knows the card, you face them again and cut the deck.
Then you put the deck on the table and cover it with a handkerchief (you can also place the deck under the table or behind your back). You announce that you will remove one card from the deck.
You name the card. It is indeed the spectator’s selection. Applause. This is when you reveal that this thought didn’t actually need a concrete object. When you show the deck again, its faces are entirely blank and it can be fully examined.
Strong points:
The deck is really shuffled
The choice is completely free
The card is found while you’re blind (no gaffed blindfold or handkerchief allowing you to still see the deck)
The deck is not marked
No special product or chemical is used
To magnet
No thin cards
In the end, you have nothing to hide because every card in the deck can be examined
